international recognition for his vibrant landscapes.
His images of country gardens, quiet coves and windy
beaches provide a contemporary take on
traditional painting subjects.
His technique, a unique blend of impressionism
and modernist theories, results in paintings
filled with energy and exciting color combinations.
The area near his Lake Michigan home is Wood's
favorite subject, but he also loves to paint the
New England coast where he grew up.
Some of his paintings combine impressions of
both locations.
