Julie Jankowski When she was invited to come to afa Press to make screenprints, Julie Jankowski was making a series of paintings of dogs. These started as memorial portraits of her dog Zak, but developed into strong, expressionistic renderings of dogs as spiritual companions. The paintings have strong emotional and intellectual content made possible by Jankowski's dynamic compositions and masterful brush work.
